Where It All Began
In a bustling corner of Kolkata, Jagdish Prasad Mundhra started Shree Garments, a readymade garments wholesale venture with a strong commitment to quality and relationships. His vision was simple: offer dependable, value-driven fashion that retailers could count on.
1994
A New Generation Joins
As the business grew, so did the family’s ambitions. Under the leadership of his son, Niranjan Mundhra, Shree Garments began expanding its network, product lines, and market reach - evolving from a wholesale unit to a name recognized across the region.
2002
The Birth of Karnika Industries Ltd.
Spotting a growing need for affordable, high-quality kidswear, Niranjan founded Karnika Industries Limited , our own kidswear manufacturing brand. This move marked our transition from distribution to creation, giving us greater control over design, quality, and value.
2008
Scaling New Heights
In just a few years, Shree Garments crossed the ₹200 crore turnover mark, becoming a trusted name across India. This growth wasn’t just about numbers -it was about the trust built with over 250 distributors and thousands of retailers who stood with us.
2013 - 2019
Spreading Our Wings
We took our legacy beyond Kolkata by launching three new branches in Surat, Jaipur, and Metiabruz, bringing our collections closer to customers in key fashion hubs. Each branch is a reflection of our roots, yet adapted to local tastes.

With the next generation stepping in, Shiv Mundhra joined the family business and envisioned something bold - a retail experience for today’s shopper.
